There is a saying about "clumping": when the cation and anion resins are mixed together and come into contact with each other, the H+ taken off by the cation resin combines with the OH- taken off by the anion resin to form water, so the cation resin loses some The cations are negatively charged, and the anion resin is positively charged due to the loss of some anions. The two oppositely charged resin beads will attract each other and form a group, making it difficult to separate.

Broken resin powder and some suspended matter will increase the "clumping" effect of the resin.

If any electrolyte (such as caustic) is added to the "clumping" resin, the negatively charged cation resin will combine with cations to show charge neutrality; the positively charged anion resin will combine with anions to show charge neutrality, " The yang and yin resins of "holding together" will be scattered. Therefore, before delamination, a small amount of alkali is passed into the resin in the bed, which can eliminate the "clustering" of the resin and improve the delamination effect.

After the backwash is completed, wait for the Mix Bed Resin to fall off the bed, and keep a 200-300mm thick water layer on the top of the resin layer. Open the alkali hydraulic ejector to inject a small amount (eg 0.2m3) of alkali into the mixed bed.

After the resin stabilizes, there will be a clear dividing line between the positive and negative resin layers, indicating that the layering effect is ideal.
